About the Empowered Engagement Project

WHO WE ARE

POPVOX Foundation works “to inform and empower people and make government work better for everyone.”

This includes reimagining the concept of “civic infrastructure,” and providing new ways for government to share information and engage the public, with an emphasis on diverse participation and rebuilding public trust.

OUR PURPOSE

As government at all levels continues to struggle with leveraging technology to improve the connection between stakeholders and the myriad of representatives, many within governing institutions are recognizing and seeking to address them. However, the success of these initiatives depends on informed, engaged civil society organizations that can provide relevant information, examples, and research and bring together people and organizations who represent underserved communities.

THE PROJECT

POPVOX Foundation aims to be the “connective tissue” between those working in government to improve technology, processes, and responsiveness and those experts, stakeholders and impacted communities that they need to hear from.

The Empowered Engagement Project is the first step in establishing a trusted source of information for aggregating news and developments; establishing an expert network to share information; hosting webinars and in-person convenings and sharing resources to help funders, stakeholders, and individuals better understand the regulatory process and how/why to engage.
